The Divine Significance of Indigenous Desi Cows in Sanatan Dharma

Shree Geeta Ashram Seva Cell

Shree Geeta Gaushala Paramarth Sansthan

In the sacred Vedic scriptures, Gau Mata is revered not merely as an animal, but as the supreme mother of the universe: "गावो विश्वस्य मातरः". Indigenous Indian cows (Bos indicus), characterized by their prominent hump (*Surya Ketu Nadi*), are living spiritual sanctuaries representing purity, selfless sacrifice, and holistic sustenance.

The Power of Surya Ketu Nadi & A2 Nectar

Unlike exotic crossbreeds, our native Indian cows possess a distinct golden dorsal vein called the Surya Ketu Nadi, which absorbs solar energy and produces trace amounts of gold and beneficial carotenoids in their pure A2 milk. Traditional Ayurveda identifies cow ghee and milk as vital Ojas enhancers, boosting longevity, mental clarity, and cellular vitality.

"धृतक्षीरप्रदा गावो घृतस्य च परं पदम् । घृतेन देवा हृष्यन्ति घृतेन च पितॄगणाः ॥"
— Gau Mahatmya: Cows are the givers of sacred ghee and milk; with ghee the Devas and ancestors are propitiated.

Lifelong Sanctuary at Shree Geeta Gaushala

At Shree Geeta Gaushala in Jorhat, under the guidance of Shri Hanuman Prasad Baheti, we uphold the sacred duty of sheltering non-milch, aged, and infirm cattle throughout their natural lives. Every cow in our ashram receives clean shelter, daily green fodder, veterinary ICU treatments, and morning prayers.
